American Legion Baseball Program


Aldenville Post #337 will be sponsoring the "Senior" team and has a base school of Chicopee Comprehensive High School.  The team will still draw players from Comprehensive High School, Chicopee High School, and Holyoke Catholic High School.  With a new playoff format in 2012 Aldenville Post #337 has been placed in "Zone 3B" with Longmeadow, Springfield Post 21, West Springfield Post 207, and Wilbraham Post 286.  We will play a twenty (20) game regular season and six (6) exhibition game schedule.  

Chicopee Center Post #452 will be the sponsor for our "Junior" team and have a base school of Chicopee High School.  We will be competing against Wilbraham Post 286 for the privilege of representing Western Massachusetts at the Jr Legion State Championships in August.  Any player that lives closer to Chicopee then to Wilbraham may be eligible to tryout for our Junior program.  Please stay tuned for tryout dates, times, and location.

  SENIOR LEGION BASEBALL   JUNIOR LEGION BASEBALL
 

We will be kicking off our 2012 season with three (3) exhibition games starting in Wilbraham on Sunday June 3rd at Spectacle Pond, Boston Road, Wilbraham. The Town of Wilbraham is celebrating their Recreation Department and baseball program and have invited both or "Senior" and "Junior" teams to celebrate with them.

On Tuesday June 5th the New England Ruffnecks,premier college development independent baseball program in the area will be visiting Fortin Field at Szot Park for a night exhibition game.

Then on Friday night June 8th we will be traveling to Somers High School to take on the Dream Bat Bombers before opening our regular season on Saturday June 9th at Forest Park against Springfield Post #21.

We are very excited for the upcoming season and hope to see you at the ballpark.

 

 

The 2012 Junior American Legion baseball season will be exciting for Chicopee Center Post #452.  With the addition of Wilbraham Post #286 there will no free ride to the state championships.  So far we have an eighteen (18) game schedule against other "Junior" teams along with AAU and local "all-star" teams.

Any player seventeen (17) years and younger wishing to play Junior American Legion baseball and reside in Western Massachusetts please contact us  for additional information.

We are very excited for the upcoming season and hope to see you at the ballpark.

RED SOX RAFFLE

The current fundraising event is a raffle for a pair of field box Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees tickets on Thursday September 13th, dinner for two, and an overnight stay in Boston.  Anyone interested in purchasing a $5.00 chance please contact any player or coach. Chances may also be purchased at the Chicopee Center American Legion Post #452.
