Welcome to the Official Website of the Chicopee-Aldenville
 American Legion Baseball Program

Chicopee American Legion Baseball will undergo drastic changes for the upcoming 2010 season.  Chicopee Center Post 452 and Aldenville Post 337 will be consolidating programs and field one "Senior" team.  This team will now be sponsored collectively by both legions.  An additional "Junior" team (17 years and younger) will be formed to compete against other "Junior" teams in Northern Connecticut and Eastern Massachusetts.

Let us first give a heart-felt thank you to Chuck Hoffner for his years of hard work and dedication to American Legion Baseball.  Chuck, longtime manager of the Chicopee Center Post 452 team, has opted to retire from the program.  Good luck Chuck in your future endeavors.

Please feel free to contact us with your comments, suggestions, or to schedule an "out of district" game for the 2010 season. THANKS AGAIN and please visit us often.

      SENIOR LEGION SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT

E. SPRINGFIELD 12, CHICOPEE-ALDENVILLE 10

Chicopee-Aldenville was knocked out of the sectional tournament by East Springfield Post 420 on Monday night July 19th.  After falling behind and in jeopardy of being mercy ruled Chicopee-Aldenville chipped their way backed before falling 12-10.

Dan Asselin, Marcus MacDonald, and Ricci Sergienko led the Chicopee-Aldenville team and will be sorely missed as they have completed their final year of American Legion baseball elligibility.  The coaching staff, members of Aldenville Post 337 & Chicopee Center Post 452, and everyone involved with Chicopee-Aldenville baseball would like to thank you for your hard work and dedication over the past few years.

Please check back frequently for updates regarding our Junior American Legion team that will be competing in the Massachusetts Junior American Legion State Tournament from July 30th - August 2nd in Acushnet, Massachusetts.

Oklahoma 'Outlaws' win World Series
Cameran Erny | The American Legion - August 18, 2010

Midwest City, Okla., “Outlaws” Post 170 defeated Eden Prairie, Minn., 11-6 and 10-1 in a doubleheader Tuesday evening to capture The American Legion World Series championship in Spokane, Wash., at Avista Stadium. During Game 14, Midwest City’s Josh Halbert jumpstarted the Outlaw offense by stealing home to cap a three-run second inning that broke a 1-1 tie in the opener. He then delivered in the seventh inning with a three-run homer to seal an 11-6 win over Eden Prairie, giving the undefeated team its first loss of the tournament and forcing Game 15.

Batting first in Game 15, Midwest City rallied in the opening inning with a two-run home run from Greg Nelson. The Outlaw players followed suit, as they kept swiping bags to keep adding to their lead. Heading into the sixth inning, Midwest City led 5-0 and advanced three more runs as Nelson stole home.......

RED SOX RAFFLE

The winning raffle ticket was drawn as East Longmeadow was leading Brockton 5-1 in the seventh (7) inning of game #8 of the Massachusetts Department Championships.  Congratulations go out to CJ Goonan of Chicopee who won four (4) Loge Box seats behind the third base dugout on Saturday September 18th as the Boston Red Sox take on the Toronto Blue Jays.

We would also like to Congratulate Dan Asselin and Brandon Flynn who were each presented with an additional pair of tickets to a future Red Sox game.  Asselin was recognized for selling the winning raffle ticket and Flynn, for the third consecutive year, sold the most chances during our fundraiser.
